1. Information we collect
TAKEOVER may process your email address, authentication identifiers, company name, website, logo or image uploads, the spots you control, takeover and defense amounts, payment status and payment-provider identifiers, support requests, timestamps, and technical records needed to prevent abuse and diagnose errors.
When passwordless sign-in is used, authentication is handled through Supabase. TAKEOVER does not need to create or store a site-specific password for that flow.
2. Information displayed publicly
The purpose of TAKEOVER is public advertising. Company names, logos, destination websites, occupied spot locations, and current displayed spot prices are public. Visitors should assume those materials can be viewed, linked, screenshotted, cached, indexed, or shared.
Email addresses, private authentication identifiers, Stripe payment identifiers, full purchase records, and losing takeover attempts are not intended to be displayed publicly.
3. How information is used
- authenticate advertisers and let them manage owned spots;
- display and update public advertisements;
- validate takeovers and defenses;
- process payments and automatic stale-checkout refunds;
- send outbid, payment, security, and account messages;
- moderate content and investigate fraud or abuse;
- provide support and comply with legal obligations.
4. Service providers
TAKEOVER uses infrastructure providers to operate the service. These may include Supabase for authentication, database, storage and server functions; Stripe for payment processing; GitHub Pages for website hosting; and an email-delivery provider such as Resend if transactional email is enabled.
Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Card details entered into Stripe-hosted payment interfaces are handled by Stripe rather than intentionally stored as full card numbers in TAKEOVER's application database.
5. Retention
Current spot ownership and public advertising data are retained while needed to operate the live page. Purchase, payment, refund, moderation, support, fraud-prevention, and audit records may be retained for business, accounting, security, dispute, and legal purposes.
Uploaded advertising assets may remain in backups or storage for a reasonable period after a spot changes hands.
6. Your choices and requests
You can update the company identity, website, and logo associated with spots you own through your TAKEOVER account. You may contact support to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights where applicable. Some transaction and security records may need to be retained despite a deletion request.
7. Security
TAKEOVER uses authentication, row-level database controls, restricted storage paths, server-side payment validation, locked spot updates, and third-party payment processing to reduce risk. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
If you believe your account, payment, or company identity has been misused, contact support promptly.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated as TAKEOVER changes providers or features. Material changes apply prospectively and the effective date above will be revised.
