1. TAKEOVER is not the taste police
Ads are not removed merely because they are weird, loud, ugly, provocative, competitive, sarcastic, annoying, unconventional, or disliked by another person. TAKEOVER is designed to let advertisers have personality and take creative risks.
The operator generally intervenes only when a placement crosses a meaningful fraud, security, legal, safety, impersonation, or rights-abuse line, or presents another similarly extreme risk to users or the platform.
2. The advertiser is responsible for the ad
TAKEOVER provides the placement. The advertiser provides the message. The advertiser is solely responsible for the truthfulness, legality, substantiation, safety, and accuracy of everything submitted or linked from an ad, including descriptions, prices, discounts, offers, qualifications, availability, testimonials, warranties, product claims, and service claims.
Displaying an advertisement does not mean TAKEOVER has investigated, verified, licensed, certified, sponsored, recommended, or endorsed the advertiser. TAKEOVER is not a party to transactions between advertisers and visitors.
3. Use only what you are authorized to use
You must own or have permission to use every company name, trade name, logo, trademark, photograph, graphic, testimonial, creative asset, and website you submit. Do not impersonate a business, person, public agency, or organization you are not authorized to represent.
4. The short red-line list
TAKEOVER may reset or remove a placement when there is a reasonable basis to believe it involves one of the following extreme categories:
Fraud or scams; malware, phishing, credential theft, or malicious redirects; illegal or clearly dangerous activity; impersonation or serious unauthorized use of another party's rights; credible threats or material safety concerns; or another comparably serious legal or platform risk.
This list is deliberately short. The operator retains final discretion for unusual edge cases, but ordinary disagreement, offense, poor taste, bad design, or aggressive marketing alone is not intended to trigger moderation.
5. Claims and pricing belong to the advertiser
Advertisers should not knowingly publish materially false or deceptive statements about price, savings, inventory, earnings, performance, credentials, guarantees, sponsorship, affiliation, product origin, or what a customer will receive. An offer or pricing line should describe a real offer available from that advertiser under the conditions it represents.
The advertiser—not TAKEOVER—is responsible for advertising and consumer-protection rules that apply to the advertiser's industry and location.
6. Ad format
A single spot uses the compact presentation: company identity, optional logo, and destination website. When an advertiser controls two or more touching spots and selects Combined, TAKEOVER may also display a short description, one offer or pricing line, and one feature image. Advertisers may instead select Divided to preserve individual cell boundaries.
Combined creative automatically adapts to the territory actually owned. If cells are lost, TAKEOVER may resize, rearrange, crop, simplify, hide rich fields, or revert the remaining cell to the compact presentation. This is an expected part of the product, not an alteration requiring advertiser approval.
TAKEOVER does not accept advertiser-supplied HTML, JavaScript, executable files, embedded forms, browser scripts, or arbitrary widgets. Uploaded images are restricted by file type and size and may be resized or cropped for presentation.
7. Destination websites
Your linked destination must be a legitimate HTTP or HTTPS website and must not intentionally distribute malware, steal credentials, trigger abusive downloads, impersonate another party, or redirect visitors into content covered by the extreme red-line list.
You are solely responsible for content, claims, transactions, customer data practices, fulfillment, refunds, warranties, and conduct on your destination site. Visitors should independently evaluate an advertiser before transacting.
8. Emergency moderation and takedown
TAKEOVER does not undertake a duty to investigate or pre-screen every advertisement before it appears. A placement may therefore appear before a complaint or risk is identified.
When an extreme issue is credibly reported or discovered, TAKEOVER may reset the affected spot to available immediately, restrict an account, preserve relevant records, or request evidence that the advertiser controls a brand, image, claim, license, or destination. A moderation reset does not automatically create a refund right.
Owner moderation actions may be privately logged with a reason and note for accountability. The existence of this reset power does not create an obligation to monitor every placement continuously.
Report a serious problem: Use the Contact page and include the spot number, advertiser name, destination website, and why you believe it crosses one of the red lines above.
